All Time Favourite Movies/Films

Hello Everyone.... So does anyone else love getting into some cosy Pj's ,tucked up in bed under the duvet covers on a cold night and watching one of your favourite films ? I know I do...

Here is some of my favourite films of all time!

Marry Poppins!

Who doesn't like Marry poppins? This is one of my favourite childhood films! Julie Andrews , Dick Van Dyke and David Tomlinson star in this 1964 classic. Marry Poppins is a super nanny with extraordinary magical powers , who teaches  two spoiled and bored upper crust Edwardian English children how to enjoy life. The film combines songs, color and sequences of live action blended with the movements of stunning animated figures.

Pirates Of The Caribbean!

I love all the Pirates Of The Caribbean films.Which stars Johnny Depp , Keira Knightly and Orlando Bloom. Captain Jack sparrow is a witty and savvy Pirate , whereas is Will turner is a respectful blacksmith .Jack and Will team up to search for the governor's daughter Elizabeth , who has been kidnapped by Pirates. Elizabeth was taken to Captain Barbossa who is under and ancient curse,  doomed for eternity to neither live, or die.  Unless a blood sacrifice is made. Pirates Of The Caribbean is dark and eventful full of mystery and drama.

Oliver!

Oliver is my favourite Charles dickens books , so how could I not love the musical film's adaptation? Oliver is a classical tale of an Orphan who runs away from an orphanage and meets a young boy who is a trained pickpocket taught by an elderly mentor , who has hooked in a group of boys to train at pickpocketing. This 1968 film is based around the early 18th century, which stars Mark Lester, Ron Moody ,Jack Wild, Oliver reed and Shani Wallis.   

The Wizard Of Oz!

This stunning 1939 film stars the wonderful Judy Garland, Who plays the lead role as Dorothy. Caught in a storm Dorothy and her beloved dog Toto some how end in up the magical land of oz, Where she begins her journey to meet the wizard of oz , who can help her return home. On the way she meets some interesting friends but also comes across a wicked witch. The Wizard Of Oz is a lovely film to watch with the whole family and who cant resit a good sing a long?

How To Marry A Millionaire

Of course I had to included a Marilyn Monroe Film! How to marry a millionaire is my favourite film of Miss Monroe's. She is elegant and a hopeless romantic who is set out to find an eligible millionaire to marry with her two friends played Betty Grable and Lauren Bacall, But finds true love in process. This 1954 film is a definitely a girl's night in film!   

White Christmas!

White Christmas... I just adore this 1954 film! This film is perfect to watch around Christmas time. It is a classic and delightful film to watch! White Christmas stars Bing Crosby , Vera-Ellen ( who is my all time favourite dancer) ,Danny kaye and Rosemary Clooney.  

South Pacific! 

South Pacific is my all time favourite movie from the 1950's. South pacific stars Mitzi Gaynor , Rossano Brazzi ,John Kerr and Ray Walston. The 1958 film is based on a South Pacific island during World War II, love blooms between a young nurse and a secretive Frenchman who's being courted for a dangerous military mission. Which is also a Musical! The South Pacific is upbeat and colourful . I can't resit singing along to the songs.
